Import to Custom Field
Trying to import from CSV, names and address etc etc are fine, however trying to import to the 5 custom fields is not working.
Custom 1 is ok, this is just an alphanumeric field and that data imports ok.
Custom 2 and 3 are set as date fields and do not even show up on the import page.
Custom 4 and 5 are drop down lists and also do not show up on the import.
Why is this not working? I have 500 contacts which need fully importing with these custom fields intact, I can't have to sit and update all 500 manually after importing?

Thank you for starting a community support thread.
At this time, it is only possible to import data into alphanumeric fields. All other field types are not supported for import.
If the fields were set to Alphanumeric the data would import.

I've found that alphanumeric field will work, but I find it terribly useless that we cannot import dates or other field data generated from a drop down list.
The entire purpose of the custom fields is to allow users to work with non standard data sets so it would seem almost a given that people would want to import 'different' types of data into them.
When will this be implemented?

I've spoken with the product manager on this, the implementation of the import to custom field types that are not alphanumeric fields is currently being developed. It brought up wider issues on the verification of the being imported. The implementation of the feature is not part of this quarters focus and we look to add the feature in the next 3-6 months.
