Does Activity Type - Email actually send an email? Or...is it simply intended to log an email you sent through a separate system?

  Hi Kyle,

  The 'email' activity type does not send an email. Activities are generally used to prompt you to send something in the future.

  You can generate a blank email from Act Essentials by clicking on a contacts email address. This will also generate a completed 'email' activity once the link has been clicked.
