How to fix this message the SQL database instanceis unavailable

We recently installed a new Century link modem and a new virus program.
Bitdefender.
since then I have been on several occasions unable to access the database via my network..

Now every time I try to open the database on my computer I receive this message.

I really need to be able to access the database during the work day on my computer. We have one license and the database is shared with my computer. We are using ACT12
