recovering data - rebuild database after hard drive crash (from files)

my hard drive crashed. i was able to recoover all the files in the ACT folders but did not do an expert or backup from within the ACT system. How can i recover the database from the ACT files on the harddrive directly (vs the normal backup function within the app since i can NOT open the app anymore)
