Details/Notes not appearing in contact record

We have been saving details and notes, but sometimes they only show up in the agenda, but not in the notes/detail section of the contact's activity tab. We've tried back-dating, marking the notes "complete" and leaving "uncompleted" but nothing works. Is there anyway to have all notes/details show up - regardless of date - on the contact's activity tab.

  Hi Susie,

  Can you tell us what type of activity you are creating(meeting, call, other...)?
  Can you confirm if the Activity you create is showing under the Activity tab of the user linked?

  Hi Brittany,

  I'm using the Activity tab and clicking on various things under Activity Type. However, when I back-date something more than six months, the entry disappears when I click back on that contact.

  I did discover that I can find the entry under the Agenda tab, but only by date - not by name. That definitely won't work for what I need the database for. I work with a year-long program and need to be able to see my whole history of contact with each individual from year to year.

  I would appreciate any help you can give.

  Hi Brittany,

  I'm still waiting to hear from your development team about the inability to see record details/notes backdated more than 6 months. I'll have to look into other database providers, if we can't find a solution by the end of December. Could you let me know if there is a solution asap?

  Hi Susie,

  We have been testing and you can view any events that are past 6 months. Can you try the following steps to reset your account within the browser
  1. Log out of your Act! Essentials account
  2. Clear the browser cookies
  3. Close the browser
  4. Open the browser
  5. Log into your Act! Essentials account
  6. Confirm if the events are now appearing past the 6 month time frame

  Hi Brittany,

  I'm touching base again, as I have done what you have recommended and am still not seeing my activities for my contacts, if they are backdated more than 6 months. I walked through all the steps listed below (logging out, deleting cookies, closing browser, opening, and logging back in... but still my activities that are more than 6 months old are not showing up when I click on a contact.

  If I'm not able to fix this issue by the end of December, I'm afraid I'll have to go with a different database. My work required years of activity retention - not months. Please let me know if there is something else I can do.

  Hi Susie,

  The Activities will only display under the Agenda section of the account for events that are more than 6 months past. The Activity tab under the contact view will currently not show histories past 6 months. I have submitted a request to update to all time.
