Pricing - Is pricing based on the number of Emails sent or Contacts

Is the pricing model based on the number of emails sent per month, or is it based on the number of contacts in the database? (ie. if you have 2, 500 contacts in your database, but only send 500 emails per month, is the price $10/month?

And if you send 1000 emails one month, and 500 the next month ,does the price go up or down accordingly, regardless of the number of contacts in your database?

  Thank you for your post.

  The initial price of Act! Cloud is $10 per month including 500 send per email address.
  Example: I have 1000, contacts in my Act! Cloud account but am only able to select 500 for the month to send unlimited emails to.
  You can increase and decrease your send limit as needed by following the link below. You are also able to see how much the price would increase or decrease for added email contacts per month.

  OK, so I can have an unlimitednumber of contacts (Or email addresses) stored in my account, but on a monthly basis I need to pay for as many emails as I want to send out...which could be 10,000 one month and 1,000 the next, depending on what I am promoting. Do I need to pre-purchase the emails, or is it calculated at the end of each month when my card gets charged? If I only have the basic minimum of 500 emails per month, then does that mean that I can only send 500 emails in the month, or I can only send emails to 500 of my contacts? And if it is only 500 of my contacts, how does the system know which 500 contacts I have selected for the month?

  Hello Jonathan,
  Great questions!
  1.You will want to pre purchase .
  2. If you stay with the minimum 500 email addresses, you can send unlimited emails to those 500 email addresses per month.
  3. The first email blast you send up to 500 contacts will be the list of email addresses you are able to send to for the month. You can change the list at the beginning of the next month (billing cycle)
  4.The Emails are not limited by a monthly send limit but by email address limit.
  Ex: You have 10,000 contacts and want to send to 6000 email addresses. You can select to upgrade your account to the 6,000 email addresses and send unlimited emails to them.
