Facebook integration
When I choose to connect to my Facebook account, nothing happens. If I go to a contact and want to add an image based on my Facebook account, the choice for Facebook is grayed out. I have searched the knowledge base and others have asked similar questions....... no adequate responses. Other responses also talk about linking ti LinkedIn. I see no option for such anywhere. Can we please have some detailed information about how to do this..... or an explanation of why we cannot?

Can you confirm whether you've followed the steps in the below article to link your Essentials/Facebook accounts together first? The option to add an image from Facebook will be greyed out until these steps have been followed.

Yes, I can!
As I stated in the first line of my original post, nothing happens.
When I go to the Apps & Integrations page and click on the Facebook button, the only thing that happens is that the page refreshes itself.
The item listed as step 5 in the article you referenced, "Allow access by clicking Accept and enter connection login details if needed" never happens.
The page just refreshes itself and I am stuck in a loop!

Thanks for getting back to me.
Could you test trying to set the integration up in a different browser? I've tested doing so on my machine in Chrome and can't replicate any issues. It may be cookies/cache issue in your chosen browser so I'd recommend clearing those out too.

OK, so I cleared the cache and cookies. The next time I went into My Profile, selected Apps & Integrations, and chose Facebook....... It took me to a Facebook login screen. I logged in with my FB account and password. Went back to Act Essentials and nothing was any different. Am I misunderstanding something about how this is supposed to integrate with Facebook??? I then went to one of my contacts, who m I know is also a Facebook friend. I go to edit his contact info and under the smiley, it says NO IMAGE. When I click in the box under smiley to bring down the drop-down menu, Facebook is still grayed out.

I have just tried to replicate the issue, I have just connected my facebook account to Act! Essentials. I have gone into a contact I know has facebook. (It's my sister) and I know that the email address is used for facebook.
I click on contact in Act! Essentials and I try to edit the image. It is not pulling anything through from Facebook.
I am therefore raising this as a defect to the developers. If Facebook have made changes behind the scenes and it no longer works then our developers will need to fix this.
As soon as I have further information, I will come back to you.
