API call to find a contact based on email?

Hi, can you please tell me what the API call (exactly) to find a contact based on a specific email. The API docs do not say how to use "Filter" for GET contacts. Thanks.

  Hi Danielle,

  Can you tell us a bit more about where you are trying to get the new contacts from? EX: Gmail, Outlook.... There is a great platform that our open API allows connectivity to called Zapier. The plugin we created to work with Zapier will allow you to pull through new contact information from multiple platforms you may be using everyday.

  I'm a developer and I want to make a call to GET contacts - give it an email, and get back the contact with that email. Can you please help?

  I figured it out: https://mycloud.act.com/act/api/Contacts?$filter=emailAddress eq 'test'
