ACT 2000 to ACT! Essential Export

I heard you can export from ACT! 2000 to ACT! Essential by exporting a CSV file format. But in ACT! 2000 if you go to File/Data Exchange/Export/File Type -- the options are Export File Format: Act 2/1 for DOS .CCX, ACT! 2000 .dbf, or Text Delimited.

So how do i export to .csx or convert text delimited to csx?

  Hi Adam,

  Act! 2000 does not allow export as .CSV, the file types you listed are also not able to convert to .CSV. There maybe third party converting tools available.

  I actually got the basic contact information into ACT Essentials by exporting to text delimited, then opening in Excel and converting to .CSV. But it did not carry over the history information. I have extensive history's in my database and any effective port to act on the cloud would require that. Is there a traditional version of ACT software I can buy to run on a recent version of windows that gives me the closest user experience and functionality I had on ACT! 2000?thanks
