Act Essentials and Act! Cloud
My client has a database he wishes to share with me via ACT! Cloud. He operates Windows, I'm Mac OS10. Can we do so with ACT! Essentials accounts, or must we upgrade to Premium?

Hi Boo,
You can use either program but they are extremely different. If your client would like to keep using the same features as the Act! desktop version I would recommend Act! Premium. Can you provide a few of the features he uses in his database?

My client has informed me that they do not use many of the features. They have it linked to Outlook to sync old emails. Other than that, they only use ACT! as a storage area for contacts. I was also informed that they "have created a few custom fields to better sort the contacts, but nothing major.”
The goal is for me to have access to all contacts in the various segments my client has designed, and continue to do so as the lists evolve.Best regards,

Hi Boo,
Act! Essentials does not have the ability to sync Outlook Emails. It does have the ability to have 5 customizable fields. To keep the Outlook sync feature I would recommend Act! Premium Cloud as the best solution to keep you and your client as up to date as possible.
