What is DKIM?
Domain Keys Identified Mail (DKIM) is an email authentication method designed to detect email spoofing. It allows the receiver to check that an email claimed to have come from a specific domain was indeed authorized by the owner of that domain.
What happens if I do not have a DKIM Record?
As we want to ensure your campaigns are not sent to SPAM, we handle emails differently if you are sending from a public domain email address. For example, if your email address is firstname.lastname@swiftpage.com , we will amend this slightly to firstname.lastname.swiftpage@actsend.com.
What happens if someone hits reply to an email sent from ~@actsend.com
The emails will still come directly to your email address they were sent from as normal.
Do I need custom domain authentication?
- Is your E-Marketing 'From' email address associated with your email domain, rather than a public webmail address like gmail.com or hotmail.com?
- Are you or your IT team able to access your domain's cPanel or Zone editor?
- Do your delivered campaigns show firstname.lastname.swiftpage@actsend.com in the sender details section?
If you answered yes to these questions, then setting up a DKIM record would be recommended.
