My Completed Activities show an email that went out to all of my contacts, but I did not send a group email. Am I understanding this correctly and this actually occurred?

Can you please provide me some additional information?
Can you please tell me if you had sent a campaign to a group? When viewing completed activity from the Agenda view does it list each individual within a particular group?If you send an email out to a group yes the contacts will see each others email address. Emails are sent from your default email client such as gmail, outlook, yahoo!

It would not have been a campaign yet. It would have just been a group message, but I never completed any emails, especially since I don't ever go through my iMail to do that, which is the default, and a multi step process which I would have remembered going through. It does not show up when I'm in Agenda, even with the Completed Activities box checked. But it does show up under each individual contacts Activities. When I open up the activity in a contact file, it says Completed: Email and lists all of the contacts included in the alleged activity.

Do you remember if you click the email group button, possibly to see what would happen? Or the steps you took prior to seeing the icon? I am going to try to reproduce or see if there would be another reason the icon would appear. I will follow back with you when I have an answer.

I believe I did, though not sure with the purpose of learning about it. I did the same thing just now, and my iMail opened as last night. I prepared an apology message to send, and when I hit send a non-specific warning popped up with all the contacts listed, and the option to cancel or Send Anyway. I cancelled for now. I don't recall seeing the warning last night, and only just this morning saw an email dialogue box open still, which I thought I had closed. But the send button is right under the close button, so it may have sent anyway, if there was no similar warning as the most recent group email attempt. But the date/time stamp would have been this morning, and not last night as its showing. Hope that helps somehow.

Ok, so I went ahead to send another email to the group (95 contacts) and the server couldn't perform the task it seems. But even though the email didn't actually go through, the contacts Activities show that it did. So, I don't think I have anything to worry about. I will just delete those activities.

I am having my team look further into the display icon. I would recommend checking the Sent folder in iMail to confirm if any emails were indeed sent to your contacts. I will give you an update as soon as I can.

Hi Fawnia,
I did receive conformation that if you click the email group button for the selected group the email icon will appear for each contact of that group. Act! Cloud is recording you clicked on the button, as the email is written and sent from your Imail account Act! Cloud can not confirm if the task was completed.
